Post Malone was born Austin Richard Post on July 4, 1995, in Syracuse, New York. His father, Rich Post, was a disc jockey and television producer, while his mother, Jodie, was a secretary. Malone has two older sisters, Madison and McKenzie.
When Malone was four, his family moved to Grapevine, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. It was there that he first became interested in music, thanks to his father’s record collection. Malone’s first musical experience was playing the drums in his church’s band.
