    Chris Rock was born Christopher Julius Rock III on February 7, 1965, in Andrews, South Carolina. He was the youngest of four siblings and the only son in the family. The Rock family relocated to Crown Heights, Brooklyn, New York shortly after Chris’ birth. In this new, vibrant environment, Rock developed his comedic style, known for its observational and witty takes on life. He began performing stand-up comedy in local nightclubs and bars during his teenage years. Rock graduated from the High School of Television and Radio Arts in New York and attended enrolled at the University of New York at Brockport.
