    Chris Hemsworth was born on August 11, 1983, in Melbourne, Australia. He is the middle child of three sons. His brothers are Luke Hemsworth, an actor, and Liam Hemsworth, also an actor. His father, Craig Hemsworth, is a social-services counselor, and his mother, Leonie, is an English teacher.

    Hemsworth was raised in a suburb of Melbourne. He attended Heathmont College before dropping out to pursue his acting career.
